This week’s Mix-Tape Monday, hosted by the very lovely i want my mummy, is the single that was topping the charts when you were born. I couldn’t resist finding out what the midwives could have been humming as I made my entrance in 1978 in Australia.
Turns out it was You’re the One That I Want by Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta. I was strangely happy that it wasn’t some one-hit-wonder that I’d never heard. Even happier because last year I stumbled across a cover of this song by a duo I love, Angus & Julia Stone. If you haven’t heard them and you like the floaty folky stuff seek them out on Spotify.
