Un petit pause a Paris

I’m back! I had an amazing time in Paris over the weekend. I learnt that a weekend is nowhere near long enough to spend soaking up Paris and my friends. Wish I had been able to stay longer. The time went by so fast and I don’t really feel like I did an awful lot. I had time for a couple of lovely relaxed meals and a quick scoot around the Marais in the rain checking out all my favourite haunts.

We also went for a wander around the flea markets to the north of Paris – Marche aux Puces de Saint Ouen (Metro: Porte de Clignancourt). I hadn’t been for a few years and I wasn’t disappointed. If you’ve never been and like all things old then I urge you to go. You have to pass the market stalls selling tracksuits, trainers and leather jackets and then the real treasure hunt begins. Shame I wasn’t driving back to the UK as I could have easily filled a car with quirky furniture, linens and all manner of rusty Frenchy items.

So here’s some pics from my weekend in Paris.

Eating, drinking, walking, shopping…mainly in the rain but in damn fine company.
