The festive period is definitely over and no longer can I go on convincing myself it’s okay to eat chocolates for breakfast, sob! I’m back on my no-crap diet – you can read about my efforts to get healthy here – but it’s not because I want to wear a slinky dress or get into a pair of size 6 jeans. Nope. I just don’t want to feel lethargic all the time and sleep like rubbish. Turns out cutting out sugar and cutting down on carbs was actually a revelation. Who knew?!
Of course I am in part devastated because I LOVE sugar…cakes, doughnuts, chocolate…I don’t want to go without these things forever more. I’m going to have to work out a way in which I can get the benefits of not eating them as well as be able to indulge every now and then without suffering from the mother-of-all headaches as some sort of sick punishment. Cruel.
So, for now, here we go, back on the healthy wagon I go. This was my fork the other day – from my Instagram feed – and if this is healthy eating I don’t mind at all. Yum!
