One afternoon last week Shine and I were in the lounge, me working, her playing. Golden rays began seeping in through the blinds, slowly creeping up the wall. Shine was mesmerised. For the past few months the sun has been too low in the sky in the afternoons for us to get any direct sun in our lounge. I realised that in her short life those months are probably more like years. Winter must be really long when you’re 2.
It warmed me to my very core to see her bask in the joy that a little sunlight can bring.

Winter seems flipping long when you are 38 too… Shine and I have so much in common, both think Winter has gone on FOREVER and are loving the light and shadows.
Gorgeous photos x
Maybe winter will seem shorter when we’re older…as time supposedly goes by faster as you age. No sun to bask in today sadly, just rain. Again. Humph.
Love the last photo of Shine cuddling her bear x
The light and shadows in these pictures are just so beautiful. Roll on Spring. Gorgeous photos. x
There’s nothing like some warming sun after hideous weather is there. Really makes you appreciate every minute it’s not pouring with rain! x
This is lovely! There’s nothing quite like enjoying the sunlight after a gloomy day/month(s)/ridiculous winter! Xx
Much needed sunshine, for sure! x
So lovely to read this post, the photos are so calming xx #OrdinaryMoments
