My boy goes to a village school a few miles from where we live. Sometimes the perpetual school run gets to me but at the moment I am lapping up the country views. Summer might have heat but what spring lacks in temperature it more than makes up for in vibrancy. The rapeseed fields and new foliage are fluorescent and I can’t help but feel happy when I see spring transform the landscape.
Shine always helps keep the daily drive from getting too boring as well, commentating as we go. A recent car conversation went like this:
“Oh! A horse! I love horses.
Oh look. A helicopter! I love helicopters.
Oh oh! A pavement! I really love pavements, Mama.”
There’s nothing like a 3 year old to remind you that sometimes it’s the simple things that can make us happy.

That is lovely. Wouldn’t it be great to see the World through the eyes of a child again!
Oh yes, definitely. Although I wouldn’t like being told I have to limit my biscuit consumption 😉
There is nothing better than a conversation with a child to help appreciate things anew.
A beautiful photograph- there is something about yellow and happy! #thegallery
Yes, yellow is such a happy colour isn’t it!
They do have amazing ability to find everything well, amazing!

So true, it’s a shame we lose some of that wonder as we grow isn’t it.
It’s so beautiful! I wish my school travels looked like that.
A really pretty landscape. Caught myself just looking at it for minutes and minutes. So calming too. #TheGallery
That is a beautiful view, I love the yellow, it just puts you in mind of summer. #thegallery
