Happiness is Pavements

rapeseed fields | bluebirdsunshineMy boy goes to a village school a few miles from where we live. Sometimes the perpetual school run gets to me but at the moment I am lapping up the country views. Summer might have heat but what spring lacks in temperature it more than makes up for in vibrancy. The rapeseed fields and new foliage are fluorescent and I can’t help but feel happy when I see spring transform the landscape.

Shine always helps keep the daily drive from getting too boring as well, commentating as we go. A recent car conversation went like this:

“Oh! A horse! I love horses.

Oh look. A helicopter! I love helicopters.

Oh oh! A pavement! I really love pavements, Mama.”

There’s nothing like a 3 year old to remind you that sometimes it’s the simple things that can make us happy.

Joining in with the lovely Tara and The Gallery this week. Get your happy on and head over to check out oodles of happy.

  1. There is nothing better than a conversation with a child to help appreciate things anew.
